Will Mak: Britain’s answer to John Legend

Britain’s answer to John Legend, Will is a Bedfordshire-based keyboard-wielding solo artist singer/songwriter, who plays & sings like his life depends on it, producing pop injected with heart & soul for the masses. Will pumps out passion-fuelled grooves, intertwined with heartfelt, profound lyrics.

This is what promoters & media have to say about him:

“Soul/funk with a unique flavour…exceptionally polished…musically tight, accessible and soul-stirring”
(Cambridge Boat Race)

“It’s difficult to imagine you’ve ever heard better as you relish in Will’s talent”
(Adrian Phelan, London music critic & promoter)

“An eclectic blend of rock, pop and soul which inspires at a time where few artists are really standing out”
(Sam Vernon, Music Editor, Biggleswade Chronicle)

Will’s awards have included winning the CCM/Gospel category of the UNISONG contest for his prodigal son anthem As You Rush In, & bagging the music prize in the Tomorrow’s People awards for excellence in his field of endeavour & showing great future potential.

2012 brought a significant milestone, with the release of Will’s debut album Run This Race, an eclectic collection that documents different phases of Will’s songwriting through the years.

Will’s live shows have cut across several county borders around East Anglia, with highlights including playing to 200 at Sunfest in St Neots, & performing to 500 at Party on Potton.

Will’s well and truly cut his teeth on the live circuit, with over 250 solo gigs clocked up in 5 years, in addition to extensive gigging during his previous Makower band phase.

Infused with classic singer/songwriter instincts, whilst influenced by the
contemporary musical landscape, Will is well placed for charging ahead onto
the frontline
of this ever evolving internet music era.
