Irish/Italian musician, grew up in UK, living in Ireland.. main instrument guitar.Artist, composer, writer, producer. exclusive inventor of unique and innovative, melodic, powerfull meaningful music that exists on a new wavelength and approach, steering away from the mainstream you’ve heard before,. Words used to describe his music have been hard to find, when it does not slot into any one known genre precisely.. “Epic” and “different” have been suggested by some, Debut album, just released ,28 tracks, unheard of for a debut, but no track of which he felt could be omitted. A backlog of songs some originating many years previous, finally unveiled and unleashed to the world, to free himself for the next build up of ideas, waiting to be born from the cauldron of his incessantly prolific particular mind.So..what if his biog starts here and now.and his universe bursts into life.. with an almighty bang.. ? David has condensed and bared his story, soul, demons and fantasies, observations, his belief and essence of character, for all to see and hear, with a deep reaching integrity and unexampled style, in the way he does best, in his music and in his words, letting the result speak for itself without the ever-present bullshit that many others feel they need to opt for to imbelish and mask their music with. Open your ears and open your mind, see what you hear, you won’t forget what you find.. Here he is.. this is only the beginning of what he can do.. ..the 1st chapter.. either you like it or either you don’t.. what else truly matters..? for now…ALL 28 TRACKS AVAILABLE MASTERED AS INSTRUMENTALS ALSO)

If, say, someone was to ask you to wager a guess at what style a group from Bristol create, centrally comprising a male producer and female vocalist, it wouldn’ t out be out of place to lay a bet on trip-hop being somewhere in the mix now would it? Enter End of the Line, an experimental trip-hop/acid jazz project from the home of innovators Massive Attack, Portishead and Smith & Mighty. For many, this dub-influenced style which emerged in the early ‘90s has always had the ability to retain its underground brilliance whilst also acting effectively as commercial background music. End Of The Line have a good crack at emulating the seductive sound pioneered almost 20 years ago now in their home city, though perhaps on the whole somewhat lacking these groups murky, bass-heavy originality that drew them immediate attention and Mercury Award acclaim. Headed by James Farrell, producer of 16 years and vocalist, End of the Line create an unmistakeable trip-hop sound clearly coming from the heart. The music is described as exploring themes of passion, happiness, anger, love, hate, death and life. Farrell explains ‘when i’m making my music all of these things come out...Just depends what i’m feeling at the time’. Emotion is certainly there and the dark, dreamy atmosphere in ‘Yes I Miss Ya’ has shades of songs from Tricky’s brooding genre masterpiece Maxinquaye (1995). Soulful female vocals and a spoken word style deliver alternating verses over an eerie melody which certainly sets the mood in the darker of the themes Farrell describes. Within the three songs presented on the groups MySpace there’s sufficient musical variation to keep the listener interested. All manner of organic sounding samples are used, including an effective array of strings, pianos, vinyl scratch and acoustic guitars throughout the tracks. Amongst the highlights are the soulful, dulcet tones of Joanne Seddon. In ‘Social Climber’ she draws comparisons to Alison Goldfrapp with her jazzy, minor-key singing style. Again the brooding male vocals muttering ‘and I am who I am’ are juxtaposed with the poignant tones of female singer. It’s not immediately obvious what it is about the hilly city of Bristol that inspires this distinctive sound. The truth is however that a small but incredibly talented roster of artists showcasing this original style have emerged over the last 20 years, and their success continues to inspire current up and coming artists to expand on their innovation. When it comes to End Of The Line, they impress. While there’s a lot of similar unsigned material around today; the talent is there and it’s a dark and engaging formula.

Her live stage shows feature piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, looping pedal, hammered dulcimer, electric violin, flute, tin whistle, vocoder and Eigenharp Pico/Alpha. Working with local Barnsley Engineer/Producer Nigel Pease, the energy and diversity of Kayla’s vocal and instrumental music from her shows has been captured in the studio release. • Warren
    Strain

Straina is a songsmith for the Internet age. Following a decade of honing his chops with Midlands-based band Man Over Board, he has spent the last year experimenting with sounds in his home studio, resulting in a distinctive style that fuses acoustic, trip-hop and indie influences into a warm and accessible whole. Within two months of putting his first demos up on Soundcloud, he was signed to Reel Me Records, and the initial fruits of his instinctive approach are available now, in the shape of his debut EP Sobriety Gauge. This foot tapping and head nodding collection of songs highlights the traits that mark him out as an artist. Compelling melodies and thoughtful lyrics abound, all delivered in a soothing yet gritty voice that could only be Straina’s. This is a musician with ideas to burn, and Sobriety Gauge features a fascinating array of perfectly placed sounds, from the bluesy guitar and swirling string samples of ‘Up and Under’ to the haunting multi-layered vocals of ‘21st Century Fox’. As tuneful as it is experimental, this is an appealing and memorable set of songs, that also serves as a promise of future delights.

  • Jono

The story so far... Inspired by the likes of Ac/Dc, Nirvana, The Beatles and Stones, here 4 Welsh lads known as Something Personal showcase their own brand of 'Rock n Roll' music. Initially formed back in '98, and now on their 7th drummer to date, it maybe hard to believe, but it’s true, that they are still rocking, harder than ever!! "Many have tried, many have failed, but Something Personal do possess certain qualities that may bode them well on the road ahead. Charisma by the bucketful, the energy of a Force 10 and sheer ‘Rock'n'Roll’ puts them on a higher plain already!!" - Neil Crud - Link2Wales Based high upon the picturesque mountain-side of Llanrug, North Wales, the lads, Jono , Matthew, Mark and Llion have recently been busy recording their 5th record to date, a Welsh 5 track E.P titled ' Tro fo 'mlaen ' (Turn it on – Voted Record of the week on BBC Radio Cymru / Track of the week for song ‘Nol a ‘mlaen) They now currently touring all over the UK, focusing mainly on the capital, London and have their next batch of English tunes ready to record. "I really like the songs man, Oasis'ish with a psych edge! " - Music Journalist, John Robb Already a popular name on the Welsh music scene, Something Personal, following a string of set backs over the years, that would have probably deterred most, now in 2012, never been in a better place !! Long and productive sessions in the studio have resulted in bringing the whole sound of the band together. It's also catalysed a much needed, fresh hunger within the group and this really reflects in their LIVE shows!! "Already a great band, play, play, play and you'll be an amazing band!!" Alan Mc-gee - Ex Creation Records Boss/Founder

  • gianluca
    cucchiara

Sunday Recovery formed in 2009 when main composer Gianluca Cucchiara began collaborating with singer Mirko Petrini and guitar player Fabio Staffieri. The latter duo were later joined by drummer Fabio Testaferrata and bass player Emanuele Nazzaro. Once a tight unit, the quartet wasted no time in recording their debut album, and the ambitious rock of “Coma” is the result. Musically, the band pay close attention to songcraft whilst pushing boundaries with progressive overtones, whilst lyrically the album deals with everyday issues such as love, sex, politics and the environment. Mirko, Fabio and Tancredi Gaetani worked together with lyricist Andrew James Whelan to create meaningful, empathetic lyrics that would resonate outside of their native Italy in order for their intended emotion and mood to be shared and enhanced. Whelan is the author of four tracks on the CD.The band secured Porcupine Tree bass player Colin Edwin who contributed to the project by playing bass on the tracks “In Front of You” and “Side C”. The band wanted to create an international feel to their debut album which has led them to mix the CD at Sphere Studios in London.Taking influence from the likes of Colin Edwin’s afformentioned Porcupine Tree, King Crimson and the melodic soundscapes of Muse and The Bends-era Radiohead, Sunday Recovery more than meld a sound of their own. Undeniably a brew that contains as much dark as it ever did light, the band are proving experts in the field of hard hitting rock music.

  • Amy

Ouch My Face is a three-piece experimental punk band from Melbourne via rural Australia, who left home to avoid lives spent working in timber mills and butcher shops. Diminutive front-woman Celeste Potter cuts through the pummeling rhythm section like a diamond tipped chainsaw with her trademark banshee-like howls and chaotic lead guitar style. Penniless, friendless and having nothing better to do, Celeste along with Steven Huf (Bass) and Ben Wundersitz (Drums) locked themselves in a tiny inner city apartment for a year and did nothing but make music. In time they left their dark confines, christened themselves Ouch My Face and poured their ferocious art into the giant bubbling cauldron that is the Melbourne independent music scene. After a couple of years of lovingly paying their DIY band dues- driving from city to city in an old van, sleeping on floors, sticking up thousands of flyers and playing hundreds of shows, Ouch My Face have earned themselves a distinct reputation as a formidable, raw and viscerally exciting live act. Recently they have stirred and enticed audiences whilst opening for The Bronx, Shonen Knife, Regurgitator and Handsome Furs. In May of 2009, Ouch My Face released their debut EP, a five-track cocktail of rhythm and hostility, through Valve records. Their self-titled EP has received national radio play and glowing reviews from within Australia and internationally. Ouch My Face are currently working on a full length album.
