Good People of The Tinternet
You will be delighted beyond measure to hear that Exposure Music Awards! is now taking Registrations for 2011
We have adapted our Format to cover the whole of the UK and now also Europe with Exposure Music Belgium: www.exposuremusicawards.be
Bit of a strange one you might think but Belgium fits our ethos perfectly as a race of slightly strange but lovable folks who dont require the permission of any Cool media to like what they like and go looking for it
Meanwhile back here in Blighty we have transformed the awards into a completely National event with registrations via either www.ExposureMusicAwards.org or www.ExposureMusicAwards-East.co.uk if you are based there, with Grand Final & Awards Presentation at your favourite Premier London Venue, to be announced on this site soon, Artists watch out for emails on this for your chance to Play one of the best live Venues in London
And whats more its Absolutely Free Amigos to have your Music judged by our panel of Music Industry Experts
This year The Best Live category will be an additional event with live Showcases & Auditions
Small admin fee for that bit applies as tiz an expensive old business
Prizes galore will be thrown into the mix as we go along
But the main prize is that the Winner Gets Signed
To a Proper Development Deal with RBM
And we work with all the Winners & Nominees
The name of the game is to get your Name Out There and Known
All The Best
EMA
Saturday saw 17 Young Acts play Gloucester's Premier Live Music Venue the Guildhall, often the haunt of many a Big Named Act, warming up for Festivals and Major Music Events.
Thankfully the 'Good Old Gilly' had bravely stepped in at the last minute to Rescue the Exposure Music Awards! from Disaster, after their previously scheduled venue in Cheltenham had closed just four days before the awards were due to take place, citing financial difficulties (See Previous Front Page Story in Echo).
"I Was Amazed" said Dean G Hill, the Organiser & CoFounder of the awards, "How everyone rallied round at the last minute to Rescue us from certain Disaster and still make a show Happen":
From Local Wine Merchant Bablake who loaded a Pallet full of beer courtesy of The Global Brewing Giant InBev into a van provided by Mudie Bond Mercedes, given at short notice to resolve logistical issues, to Promo teams from the University of Gloucestershire's Popular Music Course, who also recorded the event, out on the streets of Gloucester on Saturday morning getting the word out on the changes…
our M/C Martin Brown of The Orange County Music Awards in California and CoFounder of EMA® commented "we knew we were going to be down on numbers, because of the mess we were landed in by The Front Rooms, but everyone's moved Heaven & Earth to keep this great show on the road, in its third successful year, and produce yet another amazing night of Emerging Live Talent and Music Awards Presentations".
EMA® would also like to express huge thanks to this year's Awards presenters who rolled with the creative flow and helped turn our week of Chaos & Glory into something strangely Special & Triumphant for Good Music Everywhere;
• Stefan Edwards of Kiss My Face Promotions and The Wychwood Festival
• Jo Heatley of Cheltenham Folk Festival and The Pump Rooms
• Joe Schiavon of Gloucester Guild Hall
• Andy Rea of 2000 Trees Festival
• Lisa/Jai/Laura of Mardy Fish Promo
• George Moorey of 'Wired' and Gloucester Music Forum
• Nick Ford of Madrigal Music & Artist Management
• Joe Wilson of Sneaker Pimps/Trash Money and University of Gloucestershire
• Jarrod Robinson CEO of TourDates.Co.UK
And the Judges from EMI / SONY / VIRGN / Big Cheese Magazine / Future Proof Promotions / Grammy Winning Producers
…
And the Winner is …

Exposure Music Awards! takes place this Sat 27th Mar at Guild Hall Glos, after the venue they originally secured in Cheltenham closed.
EMA® who Champion & Promote the Best New Bands in Britain & Beyond were 'gutted' when told just days before their Live Music Fest and Annual Awards Ceremony, were to be Axed by a venue closing due to mounting financial difficulties.
"Having promoted at the Guildhall in the past with near Sell Out Shows, the ‘Gilly’ was one of the first places we called", said Dean G Hill of Exposure. "Joe and his team there have really rallied round to help make this happen and save the day!"
EMA® kicks of with an afternoon of Back to Back music starting at 3pm, Featuring new local heroes Nuk Chorris, Previously Voted Best Unsigned Band by Listeners to Kerrang! Rock Radio, under their former band name Murdoc, plus other bands.
This all day fest segues into The Awards Ceremony, also open to Fans and Public to see if their favourite bands win one of the prestigious awards, voted for by Expert Music Executives who've all done time at EMI / SONY / VIRGIN and Grammy Winning Producers.
Tickets for the old venue will still be valid and there are some still available from the Guildhall Box Office and Website, priced £5 in advance or £7 on the door, which covers both afternoon and the evening events see: www.ExposureMusicAwards.org for more info

Exposure Music Awards
Discovering, developing and delivering new music talent!
Mercury Prize Winner Speech Debelle will headline Exposure Music Awards East, when the East of England’s freshest new music discovery platform launches at The Junction in Cambridge, on November 10th 2009
The date has been added to the 26 year-old rapper’s first National Headline Tour, as Speech Debelle and her three-piece band tour the country to support the launch of her Barclaycard Mercury Music Award Winning album, Speech Therapy.
“We are so excited that Speech Debelle has agreed to perform at EMA® East”, say the Organisers, “It’s a major moment for us – and for all the new artists who will be recognised at The Awards.
“Right now, they’re at the bottom of a very crowded ladder – and Speech’s story is an inspiration for any artist who’s serious about taking their music to the next level.”
Exposure Music Awards launched two years ago, extending its search for the very best new music into the East of England this year and Europe in 2010. The Awards aim to discover, develop and deliver new music talent - with Nominees in the East of the Country having the opportunity to play live on the same bill as Speech Debelle on November 10th, as well as to feature on the Exposure Showcase CD that will be distributed to industry, media and fans after the Awards.
Registration is open to bands/artists living and performing within 75 miles of Cambridge (UK), with Awards on offer for Best Male, Best Female and Best Live! acts, as well as song categories for Best Rock, Best Pop, Best Punk, Best Alternative, Best Dance and Best Urban.
Artists outside the region can still enter Exposure’s Best Out of Area Award, which last year saw entries from as far afield as Norway and Australia.
To enter, artists/bands must be 18 or over, performing original music and currently living in Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambs & Huntingdonshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Northants, Buckinghamshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Middlesex and Essex.
Registration for all Award categories closes on Friday October 16th 2009.
