How it Works

Best Live
Having paid your entry fee, applicable to this category only, acts will be invited to:

1. Play a live audition to be held in June/July of 2012, details by email,
   and/or (at your choice);
2. Enter a special video audition on: YouTube; uploading your live Video under the heading "Exposure Music Awards – Best Live Entry for 2012 – Your Act’s Name".
   Video must be of a recent live performance, and containing the current lineup. You can submit a recording from a live stage performance, or film yourselves singing live in an unusual location in front of an impromptu audience (please get all necessary permissions if in an unusual or public location).
   Live Video Entry will be open until the end of July of 2012, meaning that artists can still enter for Best Live even after the live auditions have already taken place.
   THE TWELVE BEST LIVE ARTISTS, chosen from the above two ways of entry will be invited to play The Grand Final and Awards Presentation Event at Cargo in London in Autumn
   Remember you can enter BOTH WAYS: AUDITION & VIDEO for just the one fee;

3. All those 12 acts performing for the "Best Live" 2012 will be invited to enter a fan text vote. The winner will be acknowledged as winner of "Best Fan Vote 2012". There will be a specific prize for this winner based on help with PR, a key part of any musicians career. Text voting will be opened soon after the best live entries have been announced and run through until the close of the Judged Live Performances on awards day 2012, i.e. there are Two Best Live Act Categories to Win … Fan Text Vote and Judges Live Vote, open to all Entrants of Best Live.

Basic Entry
Free Until Sat 31st March 2012, unless extended by Sponsors
All artist (which automatically includes all of those who have entered for Best Live) Will be …

1. Initially judged by the Exposure Music Awards! team
2. The best 12 artists in each category will then be formally listed as a Nominee for their category in early August and invited to enter into The Best Nominee Fan Vote, with the top three by votes being invited to play at the grand final to held at Cargo in London in Autumn
   Please note this will not be part of the Best Live Judged competition held on the day, but will none the less be a chance to showcase your music talent in front of Music Industry Experts. It is expected that voting for The Best Nominee Fan Vote, will be open for three or four weeks only.
3. The best 12 artists in each category will be judged by OUR PANEL OF TOP LINE INDUSTRY JUDGES and a short list of six nominees per category announced by the end of August. It is hoped that all artists nominated at this stage will attend the Awards Presentation Event at Cargo in London in Autumn, and all will be offered discounted tickets, to come and see if they win and collect any awards Silverware!
4. The winning nominees per Music Genre Category (see info below) will be officially unveiled at the Awards Presentation Event at Cargo in London in Autumn, and prizes unveiled during the course of the evening, including Free Recording Time and More Industry Assistance, see About page.

Judged by Music Industry Experts

Every Registered Artist is Judged by our esteemed Panel of Music Industry Experts:

After you’ve uploaded your Online Music Profiles for consideration they will be forwarded to our Expert Industry Judges.
They will receive no other information about the bands directly, to improve objectivity;

Artists are marked holistically on the following factors:

MUSIC
Site Presentation
Number of Followers
Promo Activity
VIDEO

The judges will score each entrant out of a possible 100 and send their scores back to us at the Exposure Music Awards! and we collate these scores.

Highest scores in each musical genre become the Nominees in that category; the top scoring artist will be announced as the Winner for that category at the Awards.

We will announce this year’s panel very soon, but in the meantime Register now and get your entries in for the following Judged Music Categories:
