Seamus McLoughlin

A songwriter based in the north of England who writes about real life and delivers with a conviction that’s hard to ignore.

This is a songwriter who, despite simple acoustic beginnings, is creating waves and building momentum like his songs, thanks to a unique voice, classic musical arrangements, poignant lyrics and great melodic hooks. He is supported on his live shows by Russ Hitchin (guitar/vocals) Mark Whiteside (drums) Pete Brown (bass) and Stuart Mayor (keys and programming).

Although his following is mainly in England, for a few years Seamus has been building a loyal following in America Europe and Australia, quite often stopping on couches in New York City while playing the coffee houses and bars with his band. A US tour also followed the CMJ conference in New York last year that took him and his band to Chicago and as far south as Kentucky. Recently he also took part in the “Britbus Tour” of America. The tour took in several major cities right across the country, from LA to New York City. The use of the tour is to highlight British talent in the U.S. Major artists already throwing their weight behind this project include James Blunt and the Magic Numbers.

Seamus has also opened shows for the likes of The Alarm in America and more recently to a 1,500 sold out audience at The Gathering in Llandudno, North Wales, in addition to the likes of Ocean Colour Scene, Reef, David Garza, Kasey Chambers, The Wonderstuff and David Mead. Last year Seamus was honoured to have been asked to open on several dates for Dead Men Walking culminating in a capacity filled concert at Shepherds Bush Empire in London. In March this year Seamus attended the SXSW music conference in Austin Texas where he performed to a variety of labels, film music supervisors and promoters. While at SXSW Seamus was a featured artist with World Space radio who broadcasted a 5 song session pre recorded a weeks earlier at Abbey Road Studios in London to over 30million listeners. In May Seamus won the Exposure Music Award for best solo artist.

His Debut album “Waiting For Tomorrow” is available through Itunes as well as all other good download stores.
